Great Black & White Photographers Part 3 / Part 2
In these two photos I see perfectly formed plants of nature, I smell a sweet breeze coming off the flowers, I hear the wind blowing through the bushes that surround them, I taste pollen flowing in the air and onto my tongue as my jaw drops due to the beauty, and I feel a smooth surface like a newborn baby's skin
1) I like Annette Schreiber's photo's, what caught my eye in her photos was the black and white flower shots. I am absolutely in love with flowers or floral designs. The photo that caught my eye was a black and white flower that looked like a sunflower with their petals hanging low as if they are dying but the petals are still very healthy so i'm assuming they grew that way, but it was unique and that's what caught my eye.
Her angle was just amazing, it was timed perfectly and the sun gave her the right amount of lighting to be able to tell all the details in the sunflower.

3) I would love to be able to shoot photo's of flowers but when anyone looks at them they can see, smell, hear, taste, and feel just by looking at the photo. I think I can do this with a blog. I love to right on paper more but I feel as if making my point on technology would get more students attention.

abandoned theme parks
1. I would like to go visit Gulliver's Kingdom in Japan because i want to know the meaning for the statue laying on the ground. Who is that statue laying on the ground and what's his name. I wonder if the statue was meant to be laying on the ground. What was the theme park about, was there any real rides. I want to get some good angled shots of the statue from the front and from the back. I would also like to visit Six Flags in New Orleans. Why was there even a clown that looked like that? Were they trying to scare everyone? I want to know why they closed down that park and how were the rides? Dangerous? Scary? Was there any accidents in the past, is the park haunted by the people who died there?

9. To show people the destruction.
10. He ordered print outs of photo's of animals and put them on rocks to make it seem at if they are there.
11. I think his work shows people how good they have it where they are.
12. The animals are a work of art. They deserve to be noticed

Brandt's quote
"You wouldn't take a portrait of a human being from a hundred feet away and expect to capture their spirit; you'd move in close."[
Arica
This photo is my personal favorite because it speaks to me and says "Africa was a beautiful place filled with breathtaking animals/nature but we killed to many of the animals to survive and now the place is deserted and death is everywhere in the ground. There is framing in this photo, it has an elephant in a square to put focus on it. Nick Brandt uses a Pentax 6x7 with two fixed lenses. This is important because we need to know how he took the photos. He took theses photos because he wanted to capture his feelings and love for the animals of east Africa. Nick hopes for anyone who sees these photos feels the same way he does about the animals.
Africa reactions
I think they should've protected the animals much sooner. It's not fair to the animals with how hard they try to survive in Africa. I mean just imagine how hard it must be to live in that heat with baby's. Food isn't easy to get out there, and the elephants are beautiful why would you want to kill them.

photo manipulation and ethics
A. Back then they used photo manipulation to either make it seem like someone who wasn't there was there because maybe they couldn't be there at that point so the manipulation makes it seem as if they are.
B. In the Lincoln photo he could not be there so they had Calhoun's body represent Abraham Lincoln's body.
C. You could put people in the photo who aren't there to show they are there.

avoiding mergers
This is a great example. See how the woman is crying? Now look at the background, it's a solid pink color because she's being held in another womans arm's.
framing
I think this is a good example of a framed photo because the buildings are making a type of focus on the explosion.
Rule of thirds
This is a good example for rule of thirds because the focus in this shot is great because the camera isn't focused on one thing but two.
Simplicity
This is a good example of simplicity because the camera is focusing on the man and the background is the building.
peer reflection
https://soniaphotojblog.blogspot.com/
I personally like her happy and metal photo. Her happy photo because it really does show how happy those two students are together. Her metal photo because its basic with a hint of glorious. I think the cloud are what makes the photo glorious and the pole is what's basic.
One thing that could be improved is her focus on one thing.

post shoot reflection
1) I didn't encounter many challenges but one shot that was a challenge was the metal. Trying to get the shot without the reflection was close to impossible but I hope i'll learn hot to shoot without reflection.
2) So when I had first received the camera I thought the pictures would auto focus but I think I had touched something I wasn't supposed to and then the pictures wouldn't focus without me turning the lens till it was clear. But I found it easier and more interesting to turn the lens around till I found a good focus point.
3) If I could shoot again I would try to get more colorful pictures because "What's life without color".
4) I would continue taking photos filled with colors.
5) I would love to shoot these again because now that I know a little more I would like to see what I could do with the new information I have received.

Prompt shoot #1
Happy :
I think of this photo as happy because she had just been told how amazing she's doing and that made her smile. It's always good to have your accomplishments noticed.
Bowie :
I snapped this photo because this basketball player is representing James Bowie High by wearing the team jersey.
Metal :
This photo was captured because it shows that not all things metal are dangerous, dirty or ugly.
Metal can be made beautiful.
Square :
The floor in this shot is full of squares. It has a checkerboard pattern maybe to make it slightly interesting.
